Q – Are you a Reader, Author, Artist, or Blogger?

A – I’m an author and artist.

Q – What is your favorite fantasy story or movie of all time?

A – The Princess Bride, but it has some stiff competition.

Q – Have you written any stories? If so, please tell us about them.

A – I have two fantasy books out. “Seventh Night” is a romantic, comic, action-adventure fantasy novel. It’s essentially a stand alone adventure, but I’m writing four additional stories, called “Before the Fairytale” that expand on the younger years of the main characters. The first one is called “The Girl With No Name” and is available now as an ebook and hardback. The second one “Horse Feathers” should be out in December. The third one is out as a free to read serial, but unlike the first two, it’s rather spoiler heavy, so I recommend reading “Seventh Night” first. The stories are all PG material. It’s a series intended for adults and older children (about 10+).

“Seventh Night” plays off of a lot of fairytale motifs, so it’s inspired by classic fairytales, various legends, and general fantasy tropes. But it plays with them with a light-hearted, dry humor. One reviewer described “Seventh Night” as “The Princess Bride” meets “The Last Unicorn”, and my favorite description of “The Girl With No Name” was a blend of Shelly’s “Frankenstein” and a Grimm’s Fairytale.

Q – What inspires you in your work?

A – I draw inspiration from many sources, everything is fodder, but I read a lot of classic literature as well as more modern speculative fiction.
